Two-time defending Tennessee 6A state champ Oakland’s 36-game win streak is over. Thursday night, Christ Presbyterian Academy (CPA) beat the Patriots 35-14.

CPA got out to a 21-0 lead and never looked back against the Patriots, who entered the game ranked No. 29 in the High School Football America 300 national rankings, powered by NFL Play Football. In our statewide rankings, Oakland was ranked No. 2.

CPA had spent most of the season in our Top 300, but fell-out last week after losing by one-point to Franklin Road Academy.

Junior running back Asher Keck gained 169 yards on the ground on 21 carries and one touchdown.

Oakland entered the game with the fourth longest win streak in America.

Oklahoma’s Bixby High currently owns the longest streak at 54 straight.
