The North Shore High School football program is mourning the death of linebacker Jarvon Coles. According to Houston-area law enforcement authorities, the 18-year old was attending a house party when a car pulled up and began shooting at the attendees.

Coles was an outstanding student-athlete with a 4.1 grade point average. He was going to play college football at Lamar University.

North Shore is one of the top high school football programs in the nation. The Mustangs finished No. 26 in the High School Football America 300 last year after finishing runner-up in the state’s largest classification.
