AT&T Stadium, home of the Dallas Cowboys, will be rocking this weekend as the University Interscholastic League hosts its 12 state championship games in the NFL Stadium.

It all gets started on Wednesday with the 6-man championship games and ends Saturday night with the Class 6A Division I showdown between nationally-ranked powers North Shore and Duncanville.

The North Shore/Duncanville finale will mark the fourth time in the last five years that the Mustangs will play the Panthers for the title. North Shore, ranked No. 7 in the High School Football America 300 national rankings, powered by NFL Play Football, has won all three (2018, 2019, 2021) of the matchups.

North Shore (15-0) brings a 28-game win streak into the contest. Last week, the Mustangs snapped Westlake’s 54-game win streak, ending the Chaparrals’ run of four straight state titles.

Both teams have high-powered offenses with North Shore averaging 46.1 points per game and Duncanville (14-0), ranked No. 11 in our national rankings, scoring at a 42.6 points per game clip.

The 6A Division II title game has No. 19 DeSoto (13-2) facing No. 66 Vandegrift (14-1), coming-off its upset of Katy in the state semifinals. DeSoto will be searching for its third overall state title, while Vandegrift has never won state gold.

Aledo (13-2) will be going after its 11th state title when it faces No. 280 College Station (13-2) in the 5A Division I title game. After an 0-2 start, the Bearcats have reeled-off 13 straight wins to climb to No. 99 in our national rankings.

College Station is hoping to exchange last year’s silver medal for a gold one on Saturday.

In the 5A Division II title game, South Oak Cliff (12-3) will be looking to go back-to-back when it plays Port Neches-Grove (13-2). SOC started 0-3 against an extremely tough schedule, but has now won twelve straight.

PN-G also got off to a slow start going 2-2 out of the gate. The Indians owns three state titles, but haven’t been to a championship game since 1999.
