North Shore solidified its spot at No. 2 in the High School Football America Texas Top 25 high school football rankings, powered by NFL Play Football. Last Friday, the Mustangs beat No. 4 Atascocita 27-23 with a come-from-behind touchdown with just six seconds the play.
North Shore can clinch a share of the District 23-6A title this week when it plays C.E. King. In two weeks, the Mustangs will close out the regular season against No. 7 Summer Creek.
Reigning 5A Division II state champ Port Neches-Groves was upset by Nederland 24-21, which knocked the Indians out of the statewide rankings.
