The Honor Bowl founder Mark Soto confirms the five match-ups for this year’s event at Oceanside High School are set for September 4th and 5th.
The ten team field includes three teams that played for state titles last year. One of the showcase games will be Eastside Catholic, Washington’s defending 3A champ, facing California’s Division I Bowl Championship Game runner-up Oceanside. Eastside beat Bellevue in the 3A title game, snapping the Wolverines’ 67-game win streak. Last year, Bellevue beat Gardena Serra in The Honor Bowl.
Speaking of Serra, the Cavaliers are back for 2015 with a match-up against CIF Championship Bowl Game runner-up Corona Centennial. Both teams are expected to have good years in 2015.
