For the first time since 1989, Thomas Jefferson is a Colorado high school football champ. Friday, the Spartans came-from-behind to beat Gateway 28-27 in the 4A Spring ’21 championship game.

After falling behind 20-7, TJ roared back to tie the game at 20. Then, late in the game, the Spartans scored to close the gap to 27-26.

Instead of playing for overtime, TJ decided to go for two and the win. Senior quarterback Austin Lindegren ran in the two-point conversion to give the Spartans the win.
