Two-time 7A champ Thompson starts 2021 where it ended 2020, on top of the High School Football America Alabama Top 10 powered by NFL Play Football, the NFL’s initiative to provide fun and engaging experience for players of all ages and skill levels. The Warriors are also ranked No. 3 in the High School Football America 100 national rankings.

No. 2 Hoover beat nationally-ranked North Gwinnett over the weekend in Atlanta. This week, the Bucs will host another Georgia team, the Raiders of Alpharetta High.

In an interesting game this week, No. 9 Spanish Fort will be on the road to play defending 5A champ St. Paul’s, which fell out of the national rankings and statewide rankings after losing to 21-7 McAdory.
