Thornton Academy goes into the Class A playoffs ranked No. 1 in the High School Football America Maine Top 5 powered by NFL Play Football. The Trojans will get a first round bye and will play the winner of Scarborough and Bangor.
The Class B playoffs began last week with No. 2 Portland, No. 4 Kenebunk and No. 5 Windham picking-up first round wins. This week, Kennebunk will play three-time defending state champ Marshwood in the state quarterfinals.
