Three head-to-head Top 25 matchups highlight this week’s statewide rankings

Roswell’s exciting 35-28 win over former No. 22 Cherokee brings the Hornets into the High School Football America Georgia Top 25 statewide high school football rankings at No. 15. It also sets-up a 7A Region 5 showdown with No. 9 Milton on November 6.

It is a relatively calm week in the latest rankings, but the week ahead may be the biggest when it comes to shaping the statewide rankings. There will three head-to-head Top 25 games this week.

No. 6 Parkview travels No. 2 Grayson for first place in Class 7A’s Region 4. Both teams are 1-0 in the region. No. 4 Brookwood will open region play against Newton.

In Region 8, No. 18 North Gwinnett travels to No. 25 Collins Hill. Both teams enter the game with 1-0 region records.

The third head-to-head in the Top 25 will be in Cartersville where No. 8 at Blessed Trinity will square-off with the Purple Hurricanes. Cartersville is 2-0 in 5A’s Region 7. Blessed Trinity is 1-0 in the region.

As far as the national rankings are concerned the top ten teams in the statewide rankings are also in the High School Football America 100 powered by BlackMP Living Water. Lowndes, which is coming out of quarantine this week, is the highest-ranked at No. 3 nationally.
