Inglewood is off to a 3-0 start after beating last week’s No. 16 Carlsbad 35-18. The Sentinels have now beaten two Preseason Top 25 teams.
Oaks Christian knocked-off Colorado’s Regis Jesuit 34-28 for their second win in a row after a season-opening loss to No. 17 Chaminade.
Long Beach Poly is up three spots to No. 4 this week after beating Mission Viejo, which drops from No. 4 to No. 5.
De La Salle drops three spots to No. 8 after losing to Serra (San Mateo) 24-21. The Padres stay at No. 6 in the latest rankings created with our proprietary algorithm.
Reigning national champ Mater Dei showed it isn’t interested in giving-up its crown. The Monarchs cruised by No. 3 Corona Centennial 43-20.
No. 2 St. John Bosco had no problem in beating Bishop Amat 42-7. Amat actually moves-up one spot from No. 14 after the loss to the national power.
