Anderson jumps into the latest High School Football America Ohio Top 25 high school football rankings, powered by NFL Play Football. The Raptors sit at No. 18 after knocking-off previously undefeated Winton Woods, which falls from No. 13 to No. 20 in the statewide rankings created with our proprietary algorithm.

Aside from Anderson, Milford (No. 24) and Ursuline (No. 25) also make their first appearance of the year.

There’s one head-to-head matchup in the Top 25 this week, plus No. 1 Massillon Washington and No. 11 St. Xavier have interstate showdowns with teams inside the HSFA 300 national rankings.

In the Greater Catholic League South, No. 5 Elder will face a hot Archbishop Moeller team that sits at No. 10 this week. If Big Moe wins, they’ll clinch the title. An Elder win will give the Panthers a piece of the championship that they could win outright with a win against arch-rival La Salle on October 20.

Massillon Washington will host Washington, DC-power St. John’s College HS this week. The Tigers are ranked No. 15 nationally. SJC is ranked No. 31 in the HSFA 300.
