You can take Tim Harris out of Miami’s Booker T. Washington High School, but you can’t take BTW out of the man with the nickname “Ice.” On Wednesday, Harris was announced as the Tornadoes head coach for the fourth time.

Harris led BTW to state titles in 2007, 2012 and 2013. The ’13 team was named national champs by MaxPreps.

During his first run with the Tornadoes, he led the program to a 99-10 mark. He left the BTW program to take an assistant coaching job at the University of Miami (Florida) for the 2014 season.

BTW brought Harris back for the 2016 season. He stayed until Florida Memorial University lured Harris away to restart its NAIA program after a 61-year hiatus in 2020. In two years at Florida Memorial, Harris won two of twelve games.

His all-time record at Booker T is 141-21.
