The October 2nd show is one that you won’t want to “MISS” as we talk with two of the country’s top high school football coaches – one from Mississippi and one from Missouri.
The show begins with Lance Pogue, head coach of South Panola (Mississippi), the #18 team in the latest High School Football America Top 25. Pogue took-over the Tigers in 2007 in the middle of its 89 game win streak. Since then Pogue has led the program to an 84-10 record with state titles in 2007, 2009, 2010 and 2012. Overall, South Panola has won a Mississippi-record 10 state football titles.
Also joining me on the show will be Webb City (Missouri) head coach John Roderique, who has led his alma mater to nine state titles. Roderique, who is in his 18th season as the head coach of the Cardinals has won 92% of his games, which makes him the winningest coach by percentage in Missouri history. His overall record is 213-19.
Overall, Webb City has won 12 state championships.
One interesting note about tonight’s coaches is both have their sons as their starting quarterbacks.
