Top 100 – No. 89 Buford wins 12th Georgia high school football state title

Buford, ranked No. 89 in the High School Football America 100 national rankings, beat No. 123 Warner Robins 17-14 in overtime to capture Georgia’s Class 5A state championship. It’s the Wolves 12th overall state title, which is the second most all-time behind Valdosta’s 24 state crowns.

Buford trailed Warner Robins 14-7 when Jamarius Isaac caught a 22-yard game-tying touchdown pass with 26 seconds left in regulation. In overtime, Isaac intercepted a pass. Hayden Olsen kicked a 24-yard field goal to win it.

The Wolves how now won state titles in AAAAA, AAAA, AAA, AA and A. Warner Robins has now lost three straight state titles games since 2017.
