It’s hard to argue that Belleville (Michigan) junior quarterback Bryce Underwood is off to one of the best starts ever for a high school football quarterback. The 6-3, 205-pounder has led the Tigers to back-to-back state championships and by Thanksgiving weekend of next year, he could leave his scholastic career with a rare four-peat.
Many are amazed at Underwood’s maturity. He’s only 15-years old, but already has 76 touchdowns to go along with his championship rings in Michigan’s largest classification.
Today, we name Underwood the No. 1 college football prospect in the Class of 2025.
According to the High School Football America proprietary algorithm, Belleville is the odds-on favorite to win a third straight Division 1 title in 2023. The Tigers are the No. 1 team in Michigan and are ranked No. 64 in the High School Football America 300 preseason national rankings, powered by NFL Play Football.
With over 40 college scholarship offers, Underwood will have plenty to think about when it comes to where he’ll play his college football. Various media reports have indicated that he’s likely make his choice public next January.
Our No. 2 prospect in the class is Saraland wide receiver Ryan Williams, who has already given his verbal commitment to the University of Alabama. Last year, Williams was named Alabama’s Mr. Football after helping lead his school to a 6A championship.
Our No. 3 prospect, Elijah Christian of Savannah Christian picked up his first scholarship offer in middle school. The 6-5, 285-pound defensive lineman now has over 30 offers. He’s been an starter since his freshman year and enters his junior year with 151 tackles with 18 sacks.
