#9 St. John’s College High School from Washington, D.C. will try to defeat its third High School Football America Top 25 team on Saturday when the Cadets face #2 IMG Academy in Florida. SJC has already taken-down Pittsburgh Central Catholic (Pennsylvania), which came into the season ranked #11 in our national poll. Last week, the Cadets dropped #13 St. Joseph Regional (Montvale, New Jersey).
St. John’s plays the toughest schedule in the nation, according to our proprietary algorithm that determines many things, including strength of schedule. In the first six weeks of the season, SJC plays five teams that began the season ranked in our preseason National Top 25. St. John’s has climbed 30 spots in in the national rankings after beginning the season ranked #39 in our National Top 50.
Bragging rights in the Carolinas will be up-for-grabs when #10 Mallard Creek (North Carolina) squares-off with #35 South Pointe (South Carolina). These two defending state champs are ranked #1 in their respective state polls.
