There are four big High School Football America Top 50 match-ups this weekend.  Maybe the biggest is in Southern California where 2015 CIF Open Division runner-up Corona Centennial, ranked #24 in this week’s High School Football America Top 25 presented by Krossover, will play #3 IMG Academy (Florida) in The Honor Bowl in Mission Viejo, California.

While the game is being played at a neutral site, it is in Southern California and three time zones away from Bradenton, Florida, the home of IMG, which could give the Huskies an advantage.  Is that enough?  We’ll see.  But, I can tell you from experience that Corona Centennial head coach Matt Logan always has his team prepared.

Both teams are coming-off wins against very good opponents.  IMG beat former #8 Grayson (Georgia) on the road, while Corona Centennial knocked-off Arizona-power Chandler.

In Las Vegas, #2 Bishop Gorman (Nevada) will prep for its big showdown with #1 St. John Bosco (California) next week with a home game against #42 Cocoa, which is coming-off an impressive overtime win over former #25 Trinity Christian Academy (Jacksonville, Florida).  The Gaels return home after a 30-point road win against former #3 Cedar Hill in Texas.

In Akron, Ohio, #23 St. Edward, the two-time defending Division I champs, will play #48 Archbishop Hoban, the defending Division III champs.

The final all-Top 50 match-up is in Texas where #8 Cibolo Steele squares-off with #41 Lake Travis, which lost to Judson last week.  LT opened the season ranked #21 in the High School Football America Preseason Top 25.

Below is the weekend’s entire Top 25 schedule.
