Top 300: No. 259 Saraland beats No. 261 Mountain Brook for Alabama 6A high school football title

Saraland closed-out the 2022 Super 7 Alabama high school football championship games at Auburn’s Jordan-Hare Stadium with a 38-17 win over Mountain Brook in a 6A title game that featured two teams ranked in the High School Football America 300 national rankings, powered by NFL Play Football. The win gives Saraland its first-ever high school football state title.

Leading the way for the Saraland Spartans was super sophomore Ryan Williams, who accounted for 272 yards of total offense and scored four touchdowns. The Alabama-commit ran the ball 15 times for 188 yards and three scores. He caught sevens ball for 84 yards and a TD.

Heading into the game, Saraland was ranked No. 259 in America. Mountain Brook was two spots behind at No. 261.
