2022 finishes the same way 2021 did for the De La Salle Collegiate Pilots — with a state championship.

DLS won its second straight Division 2 championship with an easy 52-13 win over Forest Hills Central.

The Pilots entered the game, at Ford Field, home of the Detroit Lions, ranked No. 264 in the High School Football America 300 national rankings, powered by NFL Play Football.
