Top 300: No. 56 Belleville wins back-to-back Michigan high school football championships

Nationally-ranked Belleville needed to come back from a 17-14 third quarter deficit on its way to a second straight Michigan Division 1 high school football championship.

Led by sophomore quarterback Bryce Underwood, the Tigers, ranked No. 56 in the High School Football America 300 national rankings, powered by NFL Play Football, beat Caledonia 35-17 at Ford Field, home of the Detroit Lions.

Playing in his second state final, Underwood ran for 149 yards on just 10 carries with a touchdown. Through the air, Underwood completed 15-of-25 passes for 155 yards and one TD.
