The top EDGE rusher in the Class of 2024, according to 247Sports Composite Rankings, is Colin Simmons of Duncanville (Texas), the No. 8 team in the High School Football America 300 preseason national rankings, powered by NFL Play Football.

In Duncanville’s first-ever state football championship last year, Simmons was named the defensive MVP with two sacks and five tackles.

The 5-star college football prospect has plenty of choices for the next level. Below he talks about some of his campus visits.

Dylan Stewart from Washington, DC’s Friendship Collegiate is the No. 2 prospect at the position. Stewart racked-up 16 sacks last year to lead Friendship to the District of Columbia State Athletic Association AA championship.

It looks like Ohio State has the inside track to Stewart with Georgia, Maryland, Miami (Florida) and South Carolina in the running.

The No. 3 EDGE has the perfect name. Salpointe Catholic’s Elijah Rushing will be staying in-state, having chosen the University of Arizona. Over the last two seasons, Rushing has 148 tackles with 19 sacks.
