Top High School Football Safeties in Class of 2024

When we began releasing the top high school football players in the Class of 2024, we began with quarterback Dylan Raiola, who at the time of the story, was at Pinnacle High School in Arizona. Shortly after that, the No. 1 quarterback and overall No. 1 college football prospect, transferred to powerful Buford in Georgia.

Today, we reveal the top safeties in America, starting with one of Raiola’s offensive weapons, two-way star KJ Bolden, the overall No. 1 guy at safety, according to the 247Sports Composite Rankings. Bolden is also a very good receiver.

Buford is the No. 1 public school in the High School Football America 100 for public schools, powered by NFL Play Football. Overall, Buford is the No. 7 team in our preseason national rankings.

On August 5, Bolden will announce his college choice. His finalists are Alabama, Auburn, Florida State, Georgia and Ohio State.

Bolden is one of two 5-star safeties in the rankings. The other is No. 2 Xavier Filsaime of McKinney High School in Texas. The 6-1, 180-pounder has given his verbal to the Florida Gators.
