The Class of 2025 high school quarterbacks appears to be a very deep one. Especially, since one of the top QB’s in the Class of 2026, reclassified to this year’s crop of signal callers.

In January, Julian “JuJu” Lewis of Carrollton in Georgia announced that 2024 would be his final season of scholastic football, instead of it being his junior year. While he was the No. 1 overall prospect in the Class of 2026, the 6-1, 185-pounder is listed as the No. 4 overall QB by 247Sports and On3.

The USC-recruit has thrown for 7,212 yards with 96 touchdowns in his first two years of high school football. As a freshman, Lewis led Carrollton to a runner-up finish in 7A, Georgia’s largest classification and a No. 54 ranking in the High School Football America 300 national rankings, powered by NFL Play Football. Last year, the Trojans advanced to the state quarterfinals, finishing No. 65 in our national rankings.

The No. 1 overall prospect at the position and in the ’25 class is Bryce Underwood of Belleville in Michigan. The 5-star prospect has given his verbal commitment to LSU.

After winning Michigan Division 1 state titles as a freshman and sophomore, Underwood led Belleville to a runner-up finish in 2023. The Tigers climbed as high as No. 53 in the HSFA 300, before finishing No. 163 after losing to Southfield A&T in the state title game.

Last season, Underwood threw for 3,405 yards and 42 touchdowns with just three interceptions.

Heading into his senior season, Underwood has a 40-2 record as a starter.

One name that jumps off the below list of top quarterbacks is Akili Smith, Jr., the son of former NFL quarterback Akili Smith, Sr. The younger Smith will be playing his senior season San Diego’s Lincoln High School. His career began at Vista Murrieta High School, but he transferred to the Hornets last year, leading the program to an 11-1 mark. Lincoln finished No. 63 in the HSFA 300 national rankings.

Like his father, who is Lincoln’s QB coach, the younger Smith will play his college football at Oregon.

High School Football America doesn’t rank student-athletes, but we like to salute the best in the nation. Below, in alphabetical order, you can see the Top 150 QB’s in the Class of 2025.
