The nation’s recruiting websites are locked-in on Harlem Berry of St. Martin’s Episcopal in Louisiana and Akylin Dear of Quitman in Mississippi as the nation’s top high school running backs in the Class of 2025. Berry is No. 1 on the ESPN 300 and on On3. Dear is tapped as the top RB by 247Sports.

Berry, a speedster, who’s run a 4.37 40, has given his verbal commitment to LSU. He heads into his senior season with 7,285 total yards and 114 touchdowns. Last season, he ran for 2,080 yards, averaging 13.2 yards per carry. His 47 touchdowns came many ways — 37 rushing, seven receiving, two punt return for touchdowns and one Pick 6.

Like Berry, Dear will stay in-state. The 6-0, 200-pounder will attend Ole Miss after running for 2,016 yards and 27 touchdowns as a junior.

High School Football America doesn’t rank student-athletes, but we like to salute the best in the nation. Below, in alphabetical order, you can see the Top 100 running backs in the Class of 2025.
