There isn’t a high school football postseason in Massachusetts this spring, but Saturday’s showdown between Catholic Memorial, No. 1 in the High School Football America Massachusetts Top 10, and No. 3 Xaverian Brothers could be called a state championship-caliber matchup. CM’s 23-19 home victory wraps-up the Catholic Conference and for all intents-and-purposes gives the Knights the top spot in our Fall II statewide rankings.

The game came down to the very end with Xaverian at the Catholic Memorial eight-yard line. Junior Devon Marshall picked-off Mike Berluti’s pass in the end zone to the seal the victory.

CM finishes a perfect 4-0, while X ends 4-1.
