We’re hitting the halfway point of the 2021 California high school football regular season with Southern California’s Trinity League leading the state. Five of the league’s six teams are currently ranked in the top half of the High School Football America California Top 25 high school football rankings powered by NFL Play Football.
Mater Dei, St. John Bosco and Servite lead the way at No. 1, No. 2 and No. 3 respectively. This week, Santa Margarita jumps eleven spots to No. 8 after knocking-off previously unbeaten Los Alamitos. Undefeated Orange Lutheran checks-in at No. 12 this week.
The fireworks will begin when the Trinity League opens its five-game season on October 1.
Three new teams enter the statewide rankings this week — Edison (Huntington Beach) at No. 22, Vista Murrieta at No. 24 and Damien at No. 25.
