Turkey Day: Rhode Island’s Westerly beat Connecticut’s Stonington in 101st Thanksgiving Day game

Westerly (Rhode Island) beat Stonington (Connecticut) 28-7 Thursday in the 101st renewal of their Thanksgiving Day rivalry that began in 1911. It was the 160th game in the overall series between the interstate rivals.

The win gives Westerly a lead of 48-44-9 in the Thanksgiving Day rivalry, while Stonington still leads the all-time series 74-69-17.
