The Turnaround: It’s all about how you bounce back

You can’t have a great day every day. Even the best athletes in the world have an off day. It’s part of athletics. It’s part of the fabric that makes athletics so great. The key to having an off day is how you bounce back the next day. If you let it snowball into two days, you have some issues to sort out.

So, yes, off days happen. You just need to get back out there tomorrow and make it a
good day. Simple process, simple solution. The Westerners will be looking to do this
Wednesday.

Here is the deal: I have been a part of some bad practices. Tuesday wasn’t awful; it
just wasn’t what we have been getting out of the team. It happens. It won’t be the last time, either. We just were a little off today. Maybe I expected that after our
good, tough Monday workout. They seemed a little dead-legged today. A little
sluggish.

I told the team after practice it’s bound to happen. Tomorrow will be a new day. Bounce back, like we do any other time. The most important day is tomorrow, not today. It was just one of those days and I stressed that to the team.

These guys will be fine. Attitude never wavers. Effort is always there. It’s a team
that has shown me the ability to show up and work. They get it. They respect the
process. They are taking to the coaching we are providing. Everything is good right
now. It will remain that way. They will bounce back tomorrow.

So, I’m looking for a big bounce back Wednesday. These guys will deliver. I like the
guts and make up of this team. This group carries itself a certain way. It’s a different vibe. I am liking this 2017 Westerner group!

Until the next bounce back day… FIO!!
