Mill Valley is a step closer to a three-peat. The Jaguars reached the 5A semifinals with a 35-7 win over Blue Valley Southwest. The win also moved the school from No. 4 to No. 3 in the latest High School Football America Kansas Top 5, powered by NFL Play Football.

In one of the 6A semifinals, Lawrence will square-off with three-time defending champ Derby. The Panthers advanced to the state semifinals by beating No. 3 Lawrence Free State 27-21.
Maize makes its first-ever appearance in our Top 5 at No. 5. The Eagles will play Kapaun Mt. Carmel in the 5A semis. The winner gets the winner of Mill Valey and Aquinas.
