National Letter of IntentWith National Signing Day two days away, who’s the #1 recruit? Quite honestly, there’s no way to determine the answer, but Monday, USA Today High School Sports decided it would be good to create a composite ranking using the four major recruiting services – 247Sports.com, ESPN, Rivals.com and Scout.com.

Defensive lineman Trent Thompson of Westover High School in Georgia was the overall #1. Thompson, who has given his verbal commitment to Georgia, was rated #1 by 247Sports.com, #2 by Scout.com, #3 by ESPN and #7 Rivals.com.

2. Martez Ivey – OT, Apopka HS (Florida)

3. Byron Cowart – DE, Armwood HS (Florida)

4. Iman Marshall – CB, Long Beach Poly (California)

5. Derwin James – SS, Haines City HS (Florida)
