Utah high school football game between Provo and Timpview canceled due to COVID-19

Friday night’s high school football game between Timpview, No. 8 in the High School Football America Utah Top 10, and Provo has been canceled due to COVID-19 exposure at Provo High.

According to a post on the school’s Instagram account, “At the recommendation of the Utah County Health Department, three classes of students have been quarantined, along with several coaches. The quarantine was recommended as a precaution. Parents of exposed children were contacted directly by the school nurse with instructions.”

During the opening week of the 2020 Utah high school football season, No. 9 Bingham was unable to play due to a quarantine. The Miners were able to play last week and Friday night will take-on top-ranked Corner Canyon in a nationally televised game on ESPN.
