Four teams in the High School Football America Utah Top 10 high school football lost last weekend, but there’s very little change in the latest statewide rankings, powered by NFL Play Football.
No. 1 Lone Peak, No. 4 Skyridge, No. 7 American Fork and No. 9 East all lost.
Lone Peak dropped its first game of the season with a 49-35 loss to Southern California-power Corona Centennial. The Knights hold on to the top spot in the state, but drop in our national rankings from No. 12 to No. 18.
Corner Canyon closed the gap on Lone Peak with a solid 38-28 win over No. 4 Skyridge in a rematch of the 2023 6A state championship.
American Fork and East both loss to solid out-of-state opponents. AF dropped a one-point game to Nevada’s Liberty. East was beaten by Colorado’s Valor Christian 30-14.
Davis returns to the Top 10 at No. 10. The Darts, who were ranked in our preseason Top 10, have won four straight after losing their opener to No. 5 Lehi.
