As we head into Spring 2021 high school football championship weekend, Vance is back at the top of the High School Football America North Carolina Top 10 statewide rankings. The defending 2019 4AA champs return to No. 1 after cruising by former No. 1 Myers Park 42-7 in the state semifinals.

Grimsley’s 28-21 upset of No. 3 Butler in the 4A semis, moves the Whirlies into the statewide rankings Top 10 for the first-time ever. In this week’s state championship game, No. 7 Grimsley will faces No. 2 Cardinal Gibbons.
