For the first time since High School Football America began its rankings in 2012, Venice is the No. 1 team in the final Florida Top 25 high school football rankings, powered by NFL Play Football. The 7A champs beat eight teams this year that finished 2024 in the HSFA 300 national rankings. On the national scene, Venice finishes No. 4 in the country.
Based on Venice’s strength of schedule and a close 21-16 loss to IMG, the Indians edge the Ascenders for the top spot in our statewide rankings created with our proprietary algorithm.
Falling in behind No. 2 IMG is Chaminade-Madonna at No. 3. The Lions have won four straight state titles.
4A champ American Heritage (Plantation) finishes the season at No. 4.
St. Thomas Aquinas, fresh off a sixth straight state championship finishes No. 5.
