It’s been hot in Southern California over the last couple of days and it will be hot Friday night in Santa Ana when No. 1 Mater Dei (California) battles with No. 2 Bishop Gorman.

Wednesday morning I stopped by Mater Dei High School and spoke with the Monarchs’ legendary head coach Bruce Rollinson to talk about the match-up.

In the video below, Rollinson, who has led Mater Dei to two “mythical” national championships in the 90’s talks about how the heat has changed the team’s practice schedule this week, plus the big question…will 5-star receiver Amon-Ra St. Brown play Friday night?

St. Brown and fellow receiver CJ Parks didn’t play in last Friday’s win over Bishop Amat.
