Mahomes played at Whitehouse High School in east Texas. As most know by now, his baseball skills were just as good as his football talents. Of course, it helps that he’s the son of former Major League pitcher Pat Mahomes, Sr. On the diamond, the younger Mahomes tossed a no-hitter during his senior season with sixteen strikeouts.

Even though no one expected Mahomes to play professional baseball, coming out of high school, the Detroit Tigers drafted him in the 37th round of the 2014 MLB Draft.

His football stats during his senior season were eye-popping. Mahomes threw for 4,619 passing yards with 50 touchdown passes. He also ran for 948 rushing yards with 15 scores.

Below are Mahomes’ Hudl highlights from his senior season.

Purdy played at Perry High School in Gilbert, Arizona. During his junior and senior seasons, Purdy lifted the Pumas to one of the top programs in Class 6A, the state’s largest classification.
