As we continue to gear-up for 2020 season, we spent time Saturday looking at some old high school football videos on YouTube. We thought it would be fun to post some of them to give you some high school football action until the season starts…whenever that may happen.

Below is a Western Pennsylvania regular season matchup known as the King of the Hills game in 1993 with Penn Hills taking-on North Hills, which entered the game ranked No. 13 in the USA TODAY Super 25 national rankings.

North Hills was led by All-State quarterback Eric Kasperowicz, who was a four-year starter. Kasperowicz, who is now the head coach at Pine-Richland High School in Pennsylvania, went-on to play collegiately at Pitt.

Also on that North Hills team was future NFL linebacker LaVar Arrington, who played as a freshman. Many don’t know that Arrington was also an outstanding running back who totaled 4,357 yards on 711 carries and scored 72 touchdowns in his career.

September 17, 1993 – North Hills vs. Penn Hills in Western PA

North Hills beat Penn Hills 36-12 and completed a perfect 15-0 season with a 15-14 win over CB West in the 4A state championship game. The Indians would finish the season ranked No. 3 in the USA TODAY national rankings
