The powerful Warner Robins high school football program will be run by former Demon quarterback Shane Sams. For the last two seasons, Sams has served as Rome High School’s offensive coordinator.

Sams replaces Marquis Westbrook, who led Warner Robins to four straight state championship appearances during his four year stint with the Demons. Westrook left the school to become the head coach at Peach County.

Last year, Warner Robins played in its sixth straight Georgia championship game, losing to Ware County in the 5A title game. After back-to-back state titles in 2020 and 2021, the Demons finished last season ranked No. 198 in the High School Football America 300 national rankings, powered by NFL Play Football.

Warner Robins has won six Georgia high school football championships.
