Congratulations to Minoso Rodgers, head football coach at Woodrow Wilson High School, on being the Washington Football Team’s Week 7 High School Coach of the Week. Coach Rodgers has yet to coach a game for the Tigers due to the coronavirus pandemic, but he’s spent over a decade making a mark on high school football in the District of Columbia.

Rodgers was hired by Wilson in March 2020 after three successful years as the head coach at Ballou High School.

In his first year at Ballou, Rodgers’ team won the District of Columbia Interscholastic Athletic Association (DCIAA) City and District of Columbia State Athletic Association (DCSAA) State Championships. He was named the DCSAA) and USA Today DC 2017 Coach of the Year.

The High School Coach of the Week program is a National Football League initiative designed to recognize area high school football coaches who continuously demonstrate hard work and dedication to their football programs, the health and safety of their players, and who make a difference in their communities. Each honoree will receive a $2,000 donation from the Washington Football Charitable Foundation to their football program.
