Washington Interscholastic Activities Association Hall of Fame to induct legendary Tumwater head coach Sid Otton

Tumwater head coach Sid Otton, who retired at the end of the 2016 season after 49 years on the sidelines, will be inducted into the Washington Interscholastic Activities Association’s Hall of Fame.

Otton is Washington’s all-time winner with 394 victories at Tumwater, Colfax and Coupeville.  Otton, who is also a member of the Washington State Football Coaches Hall of Fame, owns a lifetime record of 394-131.

In 43-years at Tumwater, Otton’s teams won five state titles.  He also won one at Colfax.

Another member of the Class of 2017 will be Duke Washington, an all-state player at Pasco High School in 1951.  Washington became the state’s first African-American all-state player.
