The Tacoma Dome will not host next year’s Washington Interscholastic Activities Association state football semifinals and the championships could also be moving.

According to the Bellingham Herald, the WIAA has decided to move the state semifinals away from the Tacoma Dome, which has hosted the semis since 1984, because of rising costs.

The story also states that the finals could also be moving for the same reason.  It is reported that one of the options could be to move the state championships to the University of Washington.
