Sioux Falls Washington entered Saturday’s South Dakota high school football Class 11AAA championship game as the nation’s leader in all-time state titles with 38. Led by quarterback Jack Schelhaas, the Warriors captured their 39th title with a 27-24 win over Sioux Falls O’Gorman in Vermillion.
Schelhaas threw for 316 yards and three touchdowns in the victory. He also rushed for 61 yards.
