National powers St. Frances Academy and IMG Academy will play their annual season-ending showdown Friday night in Maryland. The game will air live on FloFootball.
St. Frances is in the national championship hunt with a perfect 8-0 mark and a No. 3 ranking in the latest High School Football America 300, powered by NFL Play Football. Five of the Panthers’ eight victories have come against nationally-ranked teams — No. 28 Dutch Fork (South Carolina), No. 32 DeSoto (Texas), No. 47 Venice (Florida), No. 51 Kahuku (Hawaii) and No. 74 East St. Louis (Illinois).

IMG’s only loss was to No. 4 Miami Central (Florida) in its season opener. Since then, the Ascenders have won eight straight. Their only win over a nationally-ranked opponent was on September 23 when they beat No. 46 Central (Phenix City, Alabama).
SFA has won two straight and leads the all-time series 2-1.
