We are very excited announce our first play on the scoutSMART High School Football America Preseason Academic All-American Watch List. These student-athletes and those that will be announced over the next couple of months have been submitted by their coaches and are being recognized for their talents in the classroom and on the gridiron.
At the end of the 2020 season, we’ll release the scoutSMART/High School Football America Academic All-American Team that honors the best at each position.
Here’s today’s honoree:
Paul Davis, DB/SS/OLB – Spring Valley High School (Columbia, South Carolina) – Class of ’21
Paul Davis has a 4.7 GPA. He is in the Discovery Magnet Program which is a nationally-ranked Science and Math program that has won numerous national awards. He is taking all AP and Honor Magnet Programs. He will be a 3-year starter for us and is also in several Academic Honor Society’s and organizations and has presented research projects at Furman University and the University of South Carolina. One of the hardest workers not only in the classroom but also in the weight room and practice field. He is a team captain and a leader on and off the field. He Laos helps tutor many of his team mates. He is also all region player and is on some of South Carolina’s 1st team defensive lists.

For your student-athlete to be added to our Watch List, please include the following:
- Student’s Name
- High School
- Position
- Class
- GPA
- Test Scores (if available)
- A short description of their contribution on the field and off

Nominations need to be received by July 20th.
scoutSMART uses its proprietary system that gives high school football student-athletes a scoutSMART FIT Score that analyzes a players’ stats, on-field skills and academics. scoutSMART then provides the information to college football coaches, at all-levels, around the nation.
