Corner Canyon remains No. 1 in the High School Football America Utah Top 10 high school football rankings, powered by NFL Play Football, despite its first loss of the season. The Chargers had an impressive 28-21 halftime lead on Nevada-power Bishop Gorman, which entered the game ranked No. 4 in our national rankings. However, in the second half the Gaels outscored CC 42-14 on the way to a 63-42 victory.

In the national rankings, CC is currently No. 70. Next-up for the Chargers is Lone Peak, which falls three spots to No. 6 this week after losing to Timpview 31-28. The Thunderbirds move from No. 7 to No. 5 after knocking-off LP.

Like Corner Canyon last week, No. 7 Bingham steps onto the national stage this week when it hosts Mater Dei, the No. 1 team in the nation.

No. 3 Lehi will play a big interstate game when it travels to Idaho to play two-time 5A champ Rigby, the No. 1 team in the state.

In-state, No. 4 American Fork travels to No. 8 West, which is coming off a close one-point loss to Santa Margarita that plays in the Southern California Trinity League that includes Mater Dei and No. 2 St. John Bosco. Five of the six Trinity League teams are in our national Top 300.
