West Virginia cancels high school football state championships and names champs

With COVID-19 cases surging in West Virginia, the West Virginia Secondary School Activities Commission is cancelling the 2020 Super Six high school football championships. As a result, the WVSSAC is naming the state’s three champs.

The AAA crown goes to South Charleston. Fairmont Senior wins the AA crown and St. Mary’s is the A champ. Only Fairmont Senior and St. Mary’s played and won semifinal games.
