The reviews have been mixed for While The Game Stands Tall that opened this weekend nationwide, but the film did bring-in what the filmmakers expected at the box office.  The film that is centered on the De La Salle (California) High School football team at the end of its 151-game win streak grossed $9 million.  The Sony Pictures film stars Jim Caviezel as legendary De La Salle head coach Bob Ladouceur.  It cost $15 million to make.

As a comparison, Friday Night Lights has made $61 million since its 2004 release.
