Wisconsin coach named NFL High School Coach of the Year

Somerset High School’s Bruce Larson has been named the National Football League’s Don Shula High School Coach of the Year.

Larson has led his school to three state titles since 2002. Last season, Somerset won Wisconsin’s Division 4 state championship with a 28-16 win over Little Chute.

Larson, who has spent 16 seasons as Somerset’s head coach and 28 years in the program, gets a $10,000 cash award for the honor plus a $15,000 donation to the school’s football program.
