Another week, another No. 1 in the High School Football America Wisconsin Top 10 high school football rankings, powered by NFL Play Football. For the fourth time in the last five weeks there’s a new No. 1 in our statewide rankings created with our proprietary algorithm.
Muskego takes over the top spot after beating former No. 1 Mukwonago 16-14 in the Division 1 semifinals. The Warriors have won five in a row since falling to 4-4 on October 11.
Mukwonago was the second No. 1 that the Muskego has beaten during their run to the championship game against No. 4 Bay Port on Friday. On November 1, the Warriors beat previously unbeaten Franklin.

The topsy-turvy season comes to a close with the seven championship games at Camp Randall Stadium on the campus of the University of Wisconsin in Madison. Only one other Top 10 team will be playing for a state championship.
No. 3 Slinger plays Rice Lake for the Division 2 title on Friday. Rice Lake spent the first half of the regular season in Top 10. The Warriors reached as high as No. 10 before losing to New Richmond 23-22 on September 27.
