With its home field undergoing a facelift, Stratford played every game on the road in 2022. Thursday at the University of Wisconsin’s Camp Randall Stadium, the Tigers beat Mondovi 32-14 for the state’s Division 6 state championship.

Midway through the third quarter, Mondovi led 14-13. Stratford then put up 19 unanswered points to win the school’s eighth high school football state championship in ten tries. The Tigers won six in a row from 2003 through 2008.

Koehler Kilty led the way for Stratford with 192 yards and three touchdowns.
